The Screen Actor’s Guild Awards were held in Hollywood last night. As usual, high fashion was hit and miss on the red carpet. Some stood out and others should have stayed home. Styling Divas fashion hits are…
Julianne Moore is once again on the fashion hits list and she’s my pick for best dressed woman at the 2015 SAG Awards!
Viola Davis looks cool and classy in a stunning white halter gown custom made for her by Max Mara.
Felicity Jones was classic in a cross over neckline, simple column dress in palest blush. The dress is classic but I do feel it ages her a bit.
Patricia Arquette looked timeless, beautiful and very classy in this Vivienne Westwood gown.
Sofia Vergara is smokin’ hot in this scarlet one shouldered gown by Donna Karan Atelier.
Well, well, Julia Roberts finally showed up in something that isn’t dowdy, frumpy or matronly. This gorgeous, sexy, black jumpsuit by Givenchy is everything! The plunging neckline is beautiful on her.
I am so happy to see Jennifer Aniston getting adventurous on the red carpet! This vintage Galliano gown is so sexy on her toned body, hugging her in all the right places. Love Galliano!
Emma Stone wowed in a sheer Dior gown that managed to combine both a casual and a formal look in one dress. A very short, sexy black blazer with a long sheer skirt. Rather artful – trompe d’oeil!
Joan Collins proves that 81 is the new 60 in this smashing look by Ethan Miller which shows her petite figure at its absolute best. A peek of leg…coverage in all the right places. Gorgeous! Luv!
Lupita Nyong’o was a vision in Elie Saab but I’m not sure this dress was right for a red carpet event. The long sleeves bothered me on her. I like to see her beautiful shoulders and arms.
Lenny Kravitz is KILLING IT in this suit by St. Laurent. Effortless chic. Best dressed man at the SAGs! He makes everyone else look like they are trying too hard.
Let’s not forget everybody’s darling, Ross Matthews! He’s just oozing style in his tux with gold print jacket.
Now for our worst dressed (and there are sadly more than a few);
I’m not sure what Uzo was thinking here. This Angel Sanchez dress is a neon eyelet disaster.
This is a beautiful dress in a brilliant, vibrant color…too bad it looks like she got her dress caught in her panties when she left the ladies room.
I think this lovely dress would have been nicer on someone with a larger bust size. It’s also too long for her and is dragging and crumpling up on the ground in front of her feet. Almost looks like she’s standing on it. Hair and make-up super cute.
As much as I love Vivienne Westwood there is something lifeless about this gown on Sophia. The bodice seems to be standing up stiffly of it’s own accord and the baggy skirt is just a mess!
Like the dress and the hair…hate the silly shoes. They ruin her whole look. Enough said.
I’m not feeling this Dolce and Gabbana look for handsome Matt. He’s trying too hard to be fashionable and the beard…ugh! The bright blue jacket somehow seems to hang crooked and short and throws the whole look off. With the vest underneath he’s trussed up like a turkey. This look is worse than my sister’s grad date’s tux from the 70’s lol.
Agh! Claire! What were you thinking? Although I kind of like this dress from far away there’s just too much going on with the reptilian/alien skin side panels on the skirt, the cheap looking belt and what’s up with the dull colour?!
Emmy Rossum wore a fairy tale, ethereal dress by Kevork Djansezian which was very light and glittery but did not photograph well. The skirt of this dress reminds me a bit of steel wool pads somehow…either Bulldog or S.O.S. She looks lovely and glowing but this gray colour does nothing for her.
Hope you enjoyed our fashion review of the 2015 SAG Awards. What did you think?
